I am Brenton Ponza. I am an athlete, disability advocate, presenter, fundraiser, and research advisor, living with cerebral palsy. I use AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) to communicate and am passionate about raising awareness and supporting others. In 2024, I was named Boroondara Citizen of the Year for my community work and my five years of volunteering.

Sports are a big part of my life, and I am all about making them accessible for everyone. I also love sharing my experiences to help with research on cerebral palsy and support others facing similar challenges. I have started a blog about accessibility, where I share everyday challenges and ideas to make spaces more inclusive. Early this year, I worked with Melbourne University architecture students, helping them understand how to design spaces with accessibility in mind.

When I am not working, you will find me cheering for the Western Bulldogs, chatting with friends, or learning about car engines. I believe in a fair, inclusive world for people with disabilities and am committed to making that happen. I give 100% to everything I do because I know that nothing comes easy—you have to work hard for it.
